About David Lindsay Jr.

David Lindsay Jr. is a writer, blogger, contra and square dance caller,  folk singer and accountant living in Hamden, Connecticut.

He is the author of The Tay Son Rebellion, historical fiction of eighteenth-century Vietnam, (1770-1802), published in September 2017. There is more information about this book at http://www.TheTaySonRebellion.com,   also called DavidLindsayJr.com.

David has three blogs.   Related to this blog, Inconvenient News, there is another one called InconvenientNewsWorldwide.wordpress.com. On Vietnam Blog is housed at TheTaySonRebellion.com. It includes  the journal of his three weeks in Vietnam in 2010, visiting many of the sites in the book,

David Lindsay graduated from Yale in 1976 with a degree in History, American – East Asian Relations, and then gained an MBA from the University of Washington in 1991.

He started calling contra dances in New Haven in 1976, and founded the New Haven Morris and Sword Team in 1977. He co-founded Take Joy, A Celebration of the Winter Solstice (through mostly Anglo American folk music and dance) in New Haven which featured the New Haven Morris and Sword Team, and performed with the  team in a similar show in Stratford CT called Yulefest, originally directed by Henry Chapin. As the show evolved, David Lindsay was hired by the Yulefest producers to write and direct four of their productions. He can be reached at davidlindsayjr(at)sbcglobal.net.
