Cities for Everyone, by Paul Krugman – The New York Times

…….”So there’s a very strong case for allowing more building in our big cities. The question is, how can higher density be sold politically? The answer, surely, is to package a loosening of building restrictions with other measures. Which is why what’s happening in New York is so interesting.”

My comment for after you have read the piece above:

I am humbled by Paul Krugman, as usual, but also by the informed comments.
All I have to offer is random thoughts and prayers. For the artist being pushed out of their loft, maybe the new artist mecca for cheap real estate is Detroit Michigan. While we consider increasing the density of our cities, and providing housing for the poor and middle class, lets admit that family planning and population control will help lessen urban and global stressors.
