“Speaking with The San Diego Union Tribune, 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg spoke about his approaches to U.S. immigration policy.
The former New York City mayor supports creating a pathway to citizenship to the approximate 11 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S., as estimated by Bloomberg’s research firm New American Economy. The Migration Policy Institute estimates a similar 11.3 million undocumented immigrants are living in the U.S. as well.
“Well it’s a no brainer,” Bloomberg said. “You give pathway to citizenship to 11 million people.” ”
